Life is really crazy with us...

We have a Volley Ball Schedule that is Daily. School work for both my daughter and my hubby who will finish his Masters Degree from Liberty University this Dec. That means he don't have any free time....if he did the Army would quickly take that up too!

Adam moved out and I miss him. He is doing good! Not doing the job that he trained for but working any way.

Amanda still does not have her drivers Lic....I am still driving her EVERYWHERE! My life seems to be out of my control...but I have to tell myself that this is all temporary...I said TEMPORARY!!!! One day she will be gone too and I will be so sad. I am resolved to enjoy every moment I have with my kids and hubby.

So many are going through divorce today. George deals with alot of guys that have marriages falling apart. I see it in my friends. My daughter wants true love and a lasting marriage but fears that may be impossible in this Microwave society. I love you forever/done with that the next day! What's up with that????

I applaude those moms who have families and can follow their own passions!!! I struggle in that area. There are so many things I want to do. TEMPORARILY I am having to do other mommy stuff. Lord help me to not grumble and just enjoy. I want to hold more Mary Kay parties but they have to be sqeezed in between Amanda's schedule until mid Oct. Then look out!! hahaha

I do love the Volley Ball games...but she (and I) also want to go to the Xboyfriends Football games. We really did enjoy them...Can anyone say awkward!!! I did say X boyfriend. We have no reason to be there or the time....but we really like the atmosphere of the football games. The cheers, the drums and hot chocolate. I can only really enjoy sports when I know some one in the game. His brother is a excellent tackler and friend of Amanda's. That helps..still awkward. Atleast this is temporary too! The season has an end. (volleyball and HS Football)

Blogging is theraputic where FB is instant contact. Shoot no body reads my blog anyway...that is probly why I am not on here much.

I can talk to myself anytime( frankly I do...NO i am not totally crazy)!

Facebook has taken over my life!!!

I was just getting into blogging, which is time consuming! Face book is fast and easy! Also Time consuming!

Blogging is thoughts, feelings and what is the details in your life. Facebook is ..... lite! Then why do I miss blogging...I guess it is that connection. I just don't have time to go and read everyones blogs...I hardly even write on mine!

I find that some people are journaling in their blogs. Maybe I should do that???? I find that I (like everyone else) am a multi-hat person. I have my spritual side that loves to Study God's word, talk to my Siestas about what is going on in Beth Moore land! Then there is the Mary Kay side of life that is most positive and where I have great joy! I am hoping that this next six months will have gajillion things to report!

There is the supportive wife and the mother of a hormonal older teen daughter! Ugh...the deep and not so deep world of my daughter is more than a full time job. How come they can't relate to what I am doing and what is really going on with me??? I have to for them.

Parenting???? .... How do you parent a 25 year old male who thinks that you are dumber than wood??? If he is so smart then why is he living under my roof???
I'm just sayin.......

I can't forget the mother of 2 dogs who bark for no reason at all...all the time! AND 3 most precious Cats in the world. They all need my attention.

I won't even talk about the house! It is just short of condemnation!Of course I have to be there for everyone else. But who does the house reflect---the wife! DON"T LOOK AT MINE!!!

If this is any thing It is just a venting! I do feel truly blessed! I wish I had help with the House!!!

Summer....that could be a blog of it's own! Please! I wish I could do all the things that come across my mind. But like Dave Ramsey says ...you have to live like nobody else so that later you can live like nobody else! ( Save...payoff..enjoy with cash)

Maybe I will hire a house keeper someday! But for now I'd just like to find time today to get a shower!

Much has been going on in our lives. Just before Christmas our son Adam moved back home. He vegged out for about 3-4 weeks and got a job back in FL. He will be gone 2+ months.

Amanda's boyfriend was withdrawing all through Christmas..and broke-up with her just before Valentine's Day...NICE!!! She really is hurting...He just don't get it! Love that is!

My transmission went out on me while George was away in Macon for Army Drill. The van is still in the shop (over a week now and will be about $3000).

The fun hasn't yet begun...because Friday the 13th, which is usually good for us, George became unemployed again. No Notice just goodbye. It was a temporary job anyway but hey how about a notice!!! I wouldn't have put my car in the shop I would have parked it.

Thank God for my Mary Kay business. I can just add classes for more income!

I have been doing the happy dance all night!!! I just found out that Beth Moore and Travis Cottrell are going to be coming to FBCWoodstock Jan 25 to make a recorded Session. WAHOO!! I amm SO THERE!!!

2009 Bible Memorization with Beth Moore and the Siestas!!!

Well , I have joined Beth Moore and the Siestas this year in Bible memorization. You pick a verse twice a month..the 1st and the 15th. Write it on a index card (spiral so you can keep it all together) then study your verse for 2 weeks.

Example: My Jan 1st verse is: Hebrews 12:1 (NLT)

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.

I usually use NIV but the NLT just said more to me this time. And that is what this is all about! 24 verses in a year is not hard.

It has been a while since I have been on here!!!

Life is just flying by! So much to update on... George has been working since mid- Oct! It is only contract and may end in Jan :( The company that let him go due to a buy out is the ones that hired him back temporarily. He has to fix the mess that was made after he left. It is a horrible place to work and people are bailing out left and right. We need the income but we are still searching for a perm job with insurance.

Adam just got home last night with u-haul in tow. Yes he has moved back home. He needs to regroup and make plans. Orlando just didn't pay well because the University was cranking out so many that stayed in the area causing pay to be low. Good choice to move out of there!!

Amanda is .....MOODY!!! enough said!

I have enjoyed this Christmas season. I have went to Teas, and Plays! Fun Fun Fun. I am also a duck...letting most things roll right on off. The tree is half decorated but lots of presents fully wrapped and ready ahead of schedule. No last minute rushing this year. Although my back is out of wack! I tripped over the dog in the Kitchen jolting my already troublesome back...just before we had to go upstairs and clean out one room to make room for the stuff to come out of Adam's room for him to move in. NOT FUN!

It is Christmas Eve YAY! George is at work and will hopefully have a shorter day than usuall...I doubt it! Something always goes phoeey at the wrong time...my time! We are staying home this year just the 4 of us.

My mother in law is coming in Friday for my hubby to drive her to Savannah for her sisters Funeral on Sat. Bummer! That is the 2nd death in a week of people I know. It is Christmas ...We don't want bah hum bug right now!

Amanda Is Now "18" !!! November 3rd

My baby is all grown up!!! She went to school today looking like a model. New B-day clothes put a smile on her face. A shopping day with Jamie's mom was at the top of her list of happy things to do. One thing they got was this fabulous dress that is more gorgeous than the pic shows. (Amanda with Jamie) We took them to a mystery play and to Maggionos.

Other news is Jamie's Football team won their playoff game and will be playing for the Championship this Sat.!!! Go Knights!!! (this has been the highlight of our year)

WOW My thoughts are running wild today! Summer is coming to an end ...I didn't even get in a pool once! Our schedules have picked back up! Amanda has been to 2 volleyball camps... practice has started and we had our first game last night. The Lady Cougars WON!!! It was a GREAT game! With Her schedule and her boyfriend Jamie's Football Schedule TIME is a precious commodity.
I have gone to Dallas Tx for Mary Kay Seminar...WOW!!! Awesome ...so much I want to do with my business and share with my customers.

George is still out of work :( Lots of interviews No Offers! I am really surprized by how things have been going! My faith has not wavered but I just wish we would get a job! Everyone says that he is the best canidate yet no offer?????????

Okay I have to make my self ORGANIZE!!! whew that is the longest four letter word! I can't find anything in my office or my bedroom. I haven't even found my shorts for the summer! lol I have been in the same denim capri pants all summer!

Well I have to get ready to fly out to San Antonio TX for a Beth Moore event!! I am soo ready! Travis Cottrell was at our church singing last Sunday! My heart is ready for worship...Wahoo!

It is Now into July ....NO JOB YET!!!! Lots of calls, interviews but NO OFFERS! Truly some of the job descriptions have been ridiculous! Just had to add this in...We are waiting on yet another call ....this one is a doosie! Big Bucks to work from home! God would knock my fipflops off with this one!!!

I would be so bummed out but you all have made my summer a joy. I have laughed so much. Getting in the Word has been awesome!!!

I love all you Siestas out there! I am looking forward to seeing you Next month in San Antonio!!!

Sad Day in Our Family

My Uncle Charlie went to be with Jesus today! He was a kind, loving person. He was a fun loving person, he enjoyed a good laugh. His Laugh was so distinctive! I will long remember his Laugh!

Please pray for my Aunt Lois and their kids Bethany and Joel. This is a very sad day for all of us that loved him. We should be rejoicing that he is with the Lord (No Doubt)! But in our grief we cry.

We had just gotten home from spending the day with them at a Family Reunion (KY)on Saturday. Sunday morning (about the time his trouble began) I was thinking I should see if they want to meet for breakfast. But I remember that they weren't at the hotel they usually stay at. They had drove down further into the country. All day they were on my mind and I couldn't stop talking about them. At the reunion they talked of driving down to Georgia to see us (from Indiana). We drove home to Atlanta only to find out how fast a life can change.

13 days ago the Moore's lost Sunny and now Beanie too! My pets are my children too! I have lost some but I always had the comfort of the rest. I will miss the Sunny and Beanie Stories! Sherry

My parents had joined a little church (Kentucky) while I had been on vacation with my grandparents in CA. Not just joined but were changed! (salvation) That is where I came to know JESUS! this day in 1976! Today is my spiritual BirthDay!

As far as the job goes! The "Please God this one job" said NO! More interviews and more W.A.I.T.I.N.G!!! That is OKAY . I am trusting in my God that He knows what He is doing!

Dogs are great!

I just read about Beth's dog Sunny passing on. I just sat there crying my eyes out. I have enjoyed hearing about Beanie and Sunny. I have been busy lately with my own 2 yorkies. Sasha just had surgery and dental work, Ginger just had dental work. Ginger is my shadow. She is always with me.

I love my cats but a dog will snuggle up to you and know right when you need that look of love... because the pay attention to us. The cats are mostly all about themselves.

We had three chichuahua's (all sisters). So pretty. We lost one a year for the last few years. They had such great personalities! THey will always be missed. Tessia, Dutchy(dutchess), and Shadow.

Waiting is ALWAYS Hard!

Not much is going on here... You know that saying about watching water boil? My hubby and 51 other people were laid off May 1. We are out of work. He started interviewing and networking that very day. Many doors Opened/Many doors Closed. Right now we are W.A.I.T.I.N.G to hear from 2 jobs. One job is okay (its a job), the other is beyond belief amazing (Please GOD!).
W.A.I.T.I.N.G is sooo hard. It is Monday and the "Please this one GOD" one called to say they will call at the END of the week to let us know. Ugh!
I may just have to start working on the Siesta Bible Study early...to fill my mind! But I can't seem to focus this week... This is soo close I can almost taste it!

My name is Sherry. I am 45 and I am not technical at all ... would be the understatement of this century!!! But I am venturing out (without help I might add!) into blogging!!! I still have to figure out what all my email program can do for crying out loud.

I jumped into to this for Beth Moore and the Siestas!!! I want to communicate with the outside! I thought I might need this for the Bible Study we are gonna do this summer. So here I am.
